With E rated tires you get a 6000 lb. or greater load capacity in the rear and that is well over what you will ever put in the bed (rear axle weight plus load). For that you pay a lot more money and have a heavier tire that should be at 80 PSI and will provide a harsher ride and worse gas mileage.
LT tires with a D rating will provide better fuel economy, a better ride, and lower purchase price. If you spend 50% more on a set of tires and get 60k miles you are not really ahead.
I have never considered using P tires which are meant for passenger cars on any truck or SUV I have owned or would I do so. If you want to get more than 42k from a set of tires on your truck avoid an aggressive tread and go with a "highway" tread. You should be able to easily get 60k miles on a set of tires.
