Went out and measured the battery compartment last night.
The 31's are .86" ea longer than the 27 12.91" vs 12.05".
I have 1 battery out right now (in the airstream) and with 1 in there I still have a solid 15" to the door. that mean a good 28" OAL.
2 GR 30= 25.82".
2 gr 27= 24.10"
SHOULD be fine. In fact I use a 1" block of wood with my 2 gr 27 to prevent them from sliding around.
I know it will be tight, but being AGM's...once they're in, they're in for good.
I want to get 2 more batteries so I can stop switching back/forth TC to AS...a real PIA! I will put new batteries in the TC.
Now I am thinking 2 6V AGM might be a good option; they are 10.25"l x 7.06"wd x 10.19" ht and will result in almost 2x useable amp hours vs the GR 31 AGM 12V.
I think it's time to give Randy a call...
