lincoln, I think there are probably a few factors at play here;
* Most forums tend to be a focal point for complaints. You don't often hear from Folks when everything is going well. AMLRV likely has the 2nd highest sales volume in US, and maybe #1 in Canada. Statisticaly...that is very few complaints.
* New triple slide design...somewhat untested. Is this design too far for campers?
* Any camper with a slide requires a fairly level position when activiating the slides. It's hard to say how the camper in question was used.
* Ulitimately the factory took the unit in and completely repaired to the owners (present) satisfaction.I think that says a lot about the brand.
Having said all that, no one wants to purchase a brand new camper and have problems. It happens. It happens with cars/trucks/washing machines/dishwashers/TV's all the time. There are going to be defects.
You roll your die, take you chance on what appeals to you.
IF there is a problem, and the Mfr steps up to fix it....IMO, that is the best you can hope for.
Good luck,let me know if you find a brand that never requires repairs.That will be our next camper.
