My husband does it by himself and it must be a pretty quick process, 'cause I never even notice it. Of course, we just have a 2 foot one. We remove it every time we take the camper off which is usually if we are staying somewhere for more than 2 nights. Then again, we are the type of people that take our regular hitch out of the receiver when not in use because we are prone to banging our darn shins on it!!!
