Guess I maybe a klutz but when sliding out the truss the tubes collapse on one another. Fingers beware because it hurts!
Sounds like its not assembled correctly. Mine has plates on both sides in two places that bolt the two tubes together. No way they will collapse.
Could you post a pic? Ours was installed by a dummy dealership and they messed lots of stuff up.
