East Coast and West Coast floorplans

O.k, so this might seem like a silly question, but can you go into your local RV dealer and order an East Coast floorplan if you live on the West Coast?

We really like the Keystone Passport 252bh but it doesn't seem to be available over here. Is this just a supply/demand thing or are there rules for some reason?
  • The Passport line has two models because they have two factories putting out slightly different products tailored for each market. The west coast factory is near Pendleton, OR. You could always see if you can find a dealer somewhere east that will sell you that model.
  • Thanks. We just really liked the fact that you can give the kids their own space in a relatively small and lightweight trailer - haven't seen that in California. Trailers with this sort of functionality seem so much heavier...
  • Quick answer... no! There are differences for a reason. Plus shipping costs. If you really want one find a dealer to sell you what you want and have him ship it for you
  • You should be able to order what you want at your local dealer. I did a quick search and found a few at west coast dealers but that depends on exactly where you are located. I do not think there are east/west coast models. Just that certain models sell better in one area than another. There are so many different models there is no way any dealer could carry them all as they do with cars.
