Well have a 2010 TT with only one 12 volt port, inside a cabinet on the antenna booster. We get along quite well with a 120 volt receptacle on each side of the bed and a 120 volt receptacle with a six plug power strip at the dinning room table. That gives up 11 outlets to plug our devises into. It has never been an issue.
USB ports may be handy but I would settle for a few more 12 volt taps.
