I would be more concerned with being over rear axle rating. Although Ford recommend only restoring half the weight unloaded from front axle with a WDH, I recommend restoring all of it. You will likely be under rear axle, closer to GVWR, and not need air bags. Another example backing up my view that air bags mask overloaded situations - note taken.
Yeah, the axle weight does concern me. We are looking at ways to reduce the amount of weight we put in the bed for competitions - luckily we only do four a year and they are all within 100 miles. The WDH and weight ratings are great just towing the trailer normally; it is the BBQ equipment that messes us up.
