IB... what would be a real rough guesstimate of the percentage of Fords in the police fleet now compared to when they had the Crown Vics? Locally the OPP still seem to favour the Taurus and Explorer, but 5 years ago was nothing but C V and a few Suburbans. :@
Ours is still almost all Fords. We are about 50% Explorer ("Police Utility") and 50% Taurus. We have a few oddball vehicles in the area that I supervise (Traffic). We have pickup trucks, Tahoes and Expeditions, and a Hemi Charger Enforcer or two. We used to have a couple Impalas, but they were miled out and not replaced. The Caprice Police package is available in the USA, but not in Canada. It's an Aussie Holden car anyway. We do still have a handful of the old Crown Vics.
I'm thinking of getting a Durango next as they now offer a Police Package.
