I am fairly mechanical minded so, a truck that is as old as 8 years in age would not be a problem
From E-town as well. You will most likely see that most if not all the major New dealers in their "used" inventory, won't have much or anything at all around the age you're looking at(8yrs old). As for just "used car lots", you would be better off going to an Auction... Wednesdays and weekends at Osman Auction, south side (75th street)for example. If you're mechanically minded, this may be the way to go. Have bought several trucks through the auction to use as MTC (mobile treatment centers-medical aid) and have yet to find a bad one. Problem with Edmonton... or for that matter Alberta, dealers think everyone works in the oil gas industry and make piles of cash... used trucks on new/used car lots are overpriced!
Then again, with the price of a bbl of oil and the number of layoffs... there just might be a deal out there... then again, who knows for sure.
