Correct, auto-adjusting are electric. The option of disc brakes would be one of the last items on my shopping list. Having dual axles with two sets of brakes on each side, considering the weights involved, are more than adequate. Every semi-trailer is equipped similarly, the drums and shoes being twice the size but weight involved being a factor of 10 X.
Thanks for your explanation. As you can imagine, as a soon to be first-time trailer owner, there is so much to learn, it's a bit overwhelming.
