Electric jack - unrealistic expectations or bad unit?

Only had the 23' Skamper TT for a few weeks, but figured out right quick that I wasn't going to manually crank that tongue jack. (Especially when raising the truck and trailer for weight dist. bars) ...

I can't imagine being without the power jack. I had one installed on my last 2 TTs. And now I use my drill to power the stabilizers. Bending over and manually cranking at this age is not appealing at all. I want to be set up and start enjoying myself! My knees, arms, and back thank me.
