The options are mind numbing... I currently have a 2K atwood side winder, works okay but I'm looking to ease/speed up setup/hookup.
I would like a compact head for tailgate clearance, my WD hitch is setup just right and I'd rather not have to source a shank with longer reach to make clearance.
I'm considering this atwood 4k jack. The warranty seems good and online reviews seem mostly positive. I'm not sure about the 'robo foot', I'm worried about very uneven areas there may be times when there is no room to flip it down. The 'fastflip' specifically notes it can be used up or down.. not sure about this one though.
Ultra-fab has some with drop leg, have to get 4k for the drop leg in this brand.
Then there's this Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack - Drop Leg - A-Frame - 18" Lift - 3,500 lbs - Black never heard of the brand, maybe a knock off?
I just started my search, any other suggestions?
I have the Atwwod 4K with the Robo foot. The jack can be extended with the robofoot folded under. You just need to put at least a 1x4 under it so the lip of the foot isn't digging in the ground. It is a good strong jack with a clutch that will prevent damage from overextending. I have mixed feelings about the robofoot but it comes off easily and can be used without it if you wish.
