If you're concerned about "sticky fingers" fooling with your power tongue jack just wire it through a keyed disconnect switch ... when the key is removed power to the tongue jack is off.

Check Harbor Freight.. I bought mine and then disassembled it and greased it really good ( I was told to do this by my cousin who did the same thing to his, and makes a difference)

We got the 4000# Bulldog jack and it has sealed lubrication, which I like, and a 5 yr. warranty. I have around 1100# or so on the hitch, and after a few years and one campsite where I didn't unhitch and lifted back of truck and front of trailer more than I should have, I bent the post where it wouldn't extend all the way and Bulldog replaced the entire hitch. Will stick with them.

Before you buy check out the electric jack from harbor Freight, My SIL got one has worked for a number of years trouble free and he paid about 1/3 of what I paid for mine.

Have a Barker VIP 3500 and has worked very good.

Yes! Remote would allow me to use a backup camera to line up, then let the tongue down, then pull fwd slghtly to allow the latch to lock down without getting out of the truck. I may have to look into that...

Go for as heavy a jack as you can. I'm a firm believer in stronger is better in this case.
