Electrical Plug Inside the pickup box
When towing a 5th wheel is it advisable to install the electrical plug inside the box? I have a factory tailgate. The hitch installer said he has not installed a plug inside the box in the last 5 year...

I have the bumper plug because it's easier for me to plug it into that. I have the notched tailgate so I don't have to lower it, and if I put the plug in the bed I'd have to do that very thing.
I'd considered it at one time then realized I'd have to lower the tailgate to reach the plug and lost interest in the project.
