I've had 2" and now also have a 3" strap. These are tow straps not recovery (Snatch) straps. Mine were rated a 20,000 and 30,000 lbs. Never had a problem where I worried about the capacity. I've used the smaller one double lining a 8,000 lb Warn winch, wrapped around a tree to hold a pulley. I use mine more for objects other than vehicles. When going to work with it I usually carry 2 pulleys, several clevis' and a solid draw bar for the receiver.
