Thirdly
Sounds like BOTH of you have 3500 envy
Ha Ha Ha, now that is funny right there. Why on earth would I be envious to pay another $150 on a 3500 and another $150-$200 a year in registration and taxes when there is no benefit to me for my towing needs? I was just agreeing with the OP, Dano1955, in thinking there was an ulterior motive especially since the 2500 and 3500 are just about identical in weight(and just about everything else) so why would the trailer pushing a SRW 3500 be any different in a 2500?
Now see there you go not reading and comprehending!
My original statement was:
RELAX.........
Your truck is well equipped to handle that 10K 5vr (even if it is a 2500)
And there is a difference between the 2500 & 3500 for OPs year of truck (2013)
2500----GVWR 10,000#
3500 SRW ----GVWR 11,400#
Regardless.......a 2500 is more than adequate tow vehicle for a 10K 5th wheel.
Which is what I addressed and stated in original post.
No where did I state or imply different.
So unwad your panties and not put words in 'others' postings.
No panties in a wade here. I just agreed with OP on why the 2500 was even mentioned hen I said "I am with you there Dano. I thought the same thing", and then you went into a first off, secondly, and thirdly rant. Maybe you should take your own advice.
Also, the 2500 and 3500 SRW are identical (weight and all) in his year model except for the rear springs which has nothing to do with exhaust braking which is probably why the OP and I thought what we did when it was mentioned. The reason for the large gap in GVWRs has more to do with government regulations than the trucks actual weight carrying ability.
