engine brake while towing?
OK, so just getting a feel for towing my 5er with the 2013 Ram Cummins. When tow enabled (heavy tow used with appropriate tire pressure) and engine brake on, going downhill after taking foot off gas ...

Just be glad you have a exhaust brake. They were not common at all about 10 years ago in pickups. I heard the other two camps talking about grade braking transmissions etc but I knew first hand my Ram had the best braking truck on the market.
Forward ahead a decade they all have em now. Guess who had the "better idea" :B
Anyway use it and enjoy the nice cool service brakes very little.
OBTW sold the Ram with 120k miles with OEM brakes with about 50% towing 15k lbs in the Rocky Mountain states :B
NEVER ride your service brakes down a grade like someone suggested. Hit em hard if needed, then let them cool just like trains.
