OK, so just getting a feel for towing my 5er with the 2013 Ram Cummins. When tow enabled (heavy tow used with appropriate tire pressure) and engine brake on, going downhill after taking foot off gas ...

Yup, to install an EB on the older trucks that had torque converters which didn't lock on deceleration, eg 47RE, electronics had to be added to keep the torque converter locked on deceleration or the eventual result was a fried tranny. I don't notice any difference with the 68RFE in regard to lockup, whether it is in tow haul or not, it just holds a gear longer before up shifting and won't go into 6th unless you are just cruising on the flat.
