Equalizer hitch. where do you store when not in use?

so im assuming the storage in front of my camper will support the weight of this heavy ball mount system? thing weights a ton. I don't have a garage at my house, but I don't mind putting it in a closet.. but if its no harm to camper floor inside storage compartment then I will just leave it sitting there and lock it
