Equalizer hitch. where do you store when not in use?

Im sorry, this takes the dumb post of the year award. but I have my first TT and not sure how others do this. I have the equilzer E4 hitch that dealer installed on my 2013 ram 1500 truck... 2014 trace...

I never thought of that as being a security issue, and never had an issue in all these years. Maybe I should think about it, though.....
