Equalizer hitch. where do you store when not in use?

Like a lot of others at home the hitch head gets stored on the floor in the garage after I tie a plastic grocery bag over the head to protect it from dust/dirt. Our garage is unfinished so I hammered some 3 1/2 inch nails to like three studs and store my bars on the nails.

Camping the bars go inside the Van on the floor and I lock the hitch head to my safety chains using the Master Lock drawbar pin lock.
