Equalizer hitch. where do you store when not in use?

Im sorry, this takes the dumb post of the year award. but I have my first TT and not sure how others do this. I have the equilzer E4 hitch that dealer installed on my 2013 ram 1500 truck... 2014 trace...

When at home, the hitch head and bars go in garage. When camping I leave the hitch head on the truck (in the receiver) and put the bars in the back of the truck which has a cover that is locked.
