But it needs 1.5 times in length of a parking space a Toyota(or my CCSB RAM) can park in, so you are still walking the long yard to the store front.

I had a CC/LB 3500 SRW last year, and a CC/SB 2500 this year. I drive it daily to Detroit, and park in a parking deck. It is used for farming, camping, and family activities. The long bed took more work to drive daily, and parking deck required specific spaces if I wanted to get out of the parking space in less than a couple minutes. The long bed hauled the trailer better on the freeway. The short bed is much easier to backup trailers and park them. My 1500 is a double cab, and does fine if you are not travelling with tall individuals in the back seat. An occasional back seat passenger for shorter distances is fine. I am lucky that I do not need to pick one of these, I use my 3500 Express to haul my trailer when I am not assigned a truck that will do the job. (I do debate whether I would rather have a 15 passenger instead of 12.)

truck won't fit in the garage, it will live outside.

WRT asking random people on the internet, many of you live with the choices you've made and know the good, bad, and ugly.

Also i think the OP should go get a brochure and sort out the fuel tank size. That old saying that a long bed always has a bigger fuel tank may not always be true today.

All F350 will ride rougher than F250, especially when empty. I would go with the F250 unless you REALLY need the extra hauling/towing capacity.

8' box and an extended or crew cab means you will be parking out in the boonies when shopping because you will need a pull through space.

My daily driver/TV is a megacab Ram shortbox dually. Loving it so far. Fits in the garage and parking isn’t a big deal.

I think it is difficult to argue that the long bed doesn't make a better tow vehicle. Ride might not be any different, but the fuel capacity and ability to take more gear when needed is significant.

And I don't think that you can argue that a short bed doesn't makes a better daily driver. Easier to park. More likely to fit in your garage. Shorter turning radius. Will fit through more automated car washes.

What is more important to you? I love my CC LB DRW as a tow vehicle, but I would sell it today if I had to start using it as a daily driver.

Daily driver with part time towing duties says CC/SB to me. There's a reason that is the most popular combo. Anyone who says that they don't tow as well as the coveted "long bed" is FOS and just argumentative.
However, depending on your wants or needs a CC/LB could be more handy. Big fuel tank and ability to haul more....whatever you haul.....in the bed.

Not sure this is a RV net question at all. Seems like a personal preference decision to me, unless a person needs "support" from random people to make themselves feel better.

If it's a tow vehicle only or you live in a rural area/small town, you might like a long bed. If you venture into urban areas or remote offroad type areas, a short bed is better. Towing wise on a one ton diesel you'll be fine either way.
