Eternabond vs Dicor tape

Do any of you have any recommendations for which is better for sealing small leaks on a rubber membrane roof? I don't have a problem, I just want to get a roll and carry it with me for "just in case".
Thanks
  • I've called several RV dealers. Most only carry Sticknbond tape. Eternabond makes it. I don't know why they make two types. Sticknbond is the newer of the two. Large cracks like front and rear cap connections I use the tape. For holes I would use the tape. For caulking around connection like vents etc I use Dicor self leveling. For vertical surface I use Dicor non leveling or Proflex. Proflex comes in a few colors. Dicor doesn't. You can use Dicor over top of the tape. Clean the areas with mineral spirits first and allow to dry. Be sure you have tape exactly where you want it. Once it touches the surface it won't come off easy. I carry a small roll of tape and some Dicor in my tool box.
  • I've used Eternabond tape on my roof and works great. Clean the surface well and apply with a roller. Once its down its permanent.
  • I use both. Eternabond around seams/large areas and Dicor around skylights and edges.
