Was exploring the Branson area and at some of the parking lots and at even some of the stoplights it's a steep climb from the lights. Has anyone ever heard or saw a truck camper tear the tie downs and slide off the back?

I haven't. I've gone up some pretty steep sections in the Northwest with camper on my truck.

In my college days I lived in an 11 truck camper. Moved it often with no tie downs. Even moved it with a six foot truck box once. Tore the rear jacks off. Camper never moved. If it had all would be lost.

I have seen a few. One is the Lance 1172.Lance 1172

If it was installed on a plastic bed liner, I could see it sliding out. But with a rubber bed mat, it's never moved despite climbing hills I had to use 4-low to negotiate.
