exaust brake and downshifting
not really sure how exhaust brake works. when coming down a hill should I have it in tow-haul. and with exhaust brake on, should it auto shift down or should I be doing the shifting. not even sure...

I have experimented a LOT! My combined load is 32,500#. I use TH and EB ALL the time towing or not. For towing think about what gear you came up the grade in now manually select that gear and set cruise to 55 for example. On 6% downhill grades I may touch the brakes once or twice then just hit cruise again. Works great just experiment. The FACT is the higher the RPM's are the more holding power the engine has. 2500 and higher will work great and will NOT hurt a thing. It will be louder thats for sure but a small price to pay for a confident and controlled down hill experience!!!
