Extended cab vs crewcab

I am going to purchase 2500 series Chev or GMC duramax to pull our bighorn fifth wheel soon. I have a 18k reese slider hitch, and am wondering will short box on crew cab be adequate for rig or is short box on extended cab longer, and will crew cab ride a little better then extended cab.

    Crewcabs have better resale value, Might want to add airbags if considering a 3/4 ton

    The bed length will be the same for both trucks. The crew cab will have a longer wheel base and generally the longer wheel bases ride smoother

    I would seriously suggest you rethink a 3/4 ton to pull a 36' bighorn. That thing is into 1 ton SRW for sure and more likely dually country. You'd have to run the numbers for payload but don't think a 3/4 ton will have the carrying capacity for that size FW.
