For me, it's whatever is gonna let you sleep well at night... Meaning, if you stay up all night worrying about what is going to go wrong with your new RV, and can't or won't fix it yourself, get the 'extended warranty'..
If you feel you did your due diligence when buying it and feel like you can handle any issues that pop up along the way, don't get it and just roll with it..
Kinda like betting on RED or BLACK.. 50-50 either way.
I did an extended Ford warranty on my F150.. Turned out I just gave them an extra $2000.. Never had to use it...
Am I happy about that? Sure... Means I didn't have to deal with a lot of BS on claims for a POS vehicle that has been a great vehicle in the end... ha, ha..
But, I slept well and now just gonna take whatever comes with it.
I didn't get the extended warranty with my TT that I bought brand new in 2002 ... Still own it to this day and no issues with it that would have required the $2000 warranty they wanted for it back in 2002.
How you "win" with this bet is whatever makes you sleep well at night.. :)
Good luck!
