Extended Vehicle Warranty?

Looking at getting another Extended Vehicle Warranty. I know, I know! Put the money for the warranty away and save it for breakdowns. Last year in St. Charles, MO. our diesel fuel cooler started leaking. That lead to corroded lines and rusted broken fittings etc. Fuel cooler, lines, fittings, departiculate filter and assorted stuff was $3900. Yep, $3900! Had General Motors Protection Plan (GMPP) and it cost us only $100. Thank You GMPP! Well, the GMPP plan has run out and we are looking at others. The best deal we are looking at is with a company called "Endurane". Does anyone have Endurance and how are they to deal with? It gives us the sense of security to have the extended warranty and we would like a good company. Truck has 84K miles on it and they will go to 5 mores years or 150k miles for $3000. What da ya think? :h
  • I guess to each their own I have never owning 9 trucks over the years have an extended warranty pay off or actually work........ they have always found a way to worm out of paying out or I haven't needed one......... Good Luck
  • If one feels that your vehicle or RV will have no big $$ failures while you own it there is no need to spend $$ on a warranty of any kind. We can not afford to take the gamble.

You had good luck and a positive experience with the GM plan...why not re-up with them? (most people can't say that about their extended warranty plans).
You know GM is not going out of business anytime soon...

GMPP is only available for 15K more mile and it was about $1800.
  • We do have the Ford ESP plan on our 08 F-350.Have used it with no issues.

  • Who does the work under the Endura policy, where does it have to be done and what if Endura goes out of business?
  • I've never seen an extended warranty plan that was worth the money. if GMPP worked for you stay with them.
We have 140k on our 2008 ram and the only things that have failed on it aren't covered by extended warranties.
