I subscribe to a "leading consumer" magazine which consistently recommends AGAINST any extended warrenty. Generally speaking insurance is to protect one from a catastrophic loss. Most anything that might require repair on a travel trailer would not rise to the level of catastrophic loss. If you carry insurance on your travel trailer for fire, theft, collision etc. you already have a kind of catastrophic coverage since these types of perils may actually destroy the whole camper. Also ordinary homeowners insurance already covers many of the perils that might rise to the level of catastrophic loss. An occasional repair (even a very expensive repair) is likely to cost no more and probably less than than an extended warranty.
