I suspect you have life insurance, insurance on you home, car, perhaps even a home warranty program. Only you can decide if it is worthwhile, I decide not; but it is inaccurate to state they are a rip off. Many are offered by reputable companies that provide a fair service.
I agree. I had an extended warranty through a company called Continental. If I would not have used my warranty I would have been refunded all, but 300.00 of the price I paid. I used the warranty several times so I didn't get a refund. Could I have fixed the things myself cheaper ? Yes, but not out on the road. I am not sorry I had it if nothing more than piece of mind.
