Extra camper keys

Not sure what kind of locks you have but try here:

The ACE Hardware did ours also. I believe you can get them on e-bay and Amazon.

We have two sets one for me one for the DW. Mine are with my TV keys, hers are on a necklace around her neck.

You can purchase duplicate keys already cut from eBay or Amazon. Just look up the number stamped on the key.

A good local locksmith can fix you up. Getting key copies is one of the first things I do when we buy a new rig. Keep originals in a safe location and use the copy. If you have a back and front door ask the locksmith to stamp letters into the key head like FD or RD to tell them apart. Ive also gotten other letters stamped to tell them apart from other campers I've owned. Nothing worse then finding a key in 5 years and wondering what it was for.

I'm sure if you walk in with blanks any competent key cutter could do it - in a former life (prior to my military days) I used to cut keys.

I used to make keys (fun!) and the ones we use for RV's are easy cheesy to dup. Also, I am betting that the H/W stores, especially ACE where I worked, actually do have the blanks but the handle portion is much bigger so they dont recognize them.
We would charge half price to cut a single sided key that someone brought a blank in for.

If you promise not to tell anyone we keep an extra set of keys behind the door to the water heater.

X 2 cost was minimal

If you can get blanks try and file them yourself.

I went to a vintage mustang shop to have a new key for my trunk made. The guy asked for my old key and within 2 attempts I had a perfectly working brand new key. He did it by hand, in front of me with a small file.

If there is no other recourse, of corse.


I like the Amazon comment. Will be looking for another set on there for my trailer.
