Okay, I think I've decided on a bike; Honda Africa Twin. 1000cc dual-sport. It weighs 503 pounds. I can get a motorcycle carrier rated at hauling 600 pounds which is made out of aluminum and only weighs 40 pounds. So that is 543 pounds on the front suspension. I looked at a variety of winter snow plows and they weigh an average of around 6-700 pounds, some are as much as 1100 pounds. So I think the f350 ought to able to haul it.
Does anyone have experience with motorcycle carriers with a TWO receiver hitch set up? Do you think most any good welding shop ought to be able to fabricate one? And lastly, my current receiver hitch on the front of my truck is just bolted on. Should it be welded in order to safely haul this weight. Thanks guys.
