Extra water

If you are trailing the extra water, the weight is less of a concern. Most of the TC owners are concerned with their current rear axle weight, so hanging tanks off the back may not be practical. Carrying the water in the cab or on a front carrier allows you to use some of your front axle reserve capacity.

Yah, that was my thought too, but then it's two tanks, heheh, Help, I'm running outta room....

But I guess it just goes along the lines of, if you fill it, you will use it... so unless I'm really gearing up for Boondocking, I still have to come in, Black water, every 7 -10 days anyway... and just to talk to someone, anyone.. heheh... and get more Beer...

Showers, I'm assuming using the Biodegraded soap, like campers use etc... forget the name...

I've never needed any extra water, but keep in mind it is relatively heavy if you bring very much. I think I would consider putting it in the corner of the bed and rig up a way to pump it out if I didn't have 60 gallons when full any way.

I'm using the additional water mostly for outside showers and vehicle washing, so it is not being captured. I have a 30 gallon gray water roller tote in my enclosed trailer too. Outdoor showers are still warm since I can pump it into the TC and use the water heater. Privacy is ensured with a pop up shower room. I sized my supplemental fresh and gray water tanks to be the same size as the TC for convenience, but you don't have to.

I was also thinking of ADDing a backup water source, but then realized that I'd have to empty it back into a tank, so that means carrying 2 tanks, fresh then grey.

But, I'm not hearing anyone who is ADDing fresh water tanks and also adding a gray water tank. so just what do you all do as the water goes in, to the water coming out...

Or is this a 'Question not asked...'

I carry a couple of the GREEN 6-gallon plastic water cans (OZARK BRAND I think) for fresh water and two of the Reliance Aqua-Tainer 7-gallon for GRAY water from the sink etc... I also have a foldable two wheeled tote to transport these back and forth from where I am setup.

My off-road camper trailer has a front deck and these items store great on it. When going into to my camping spots I always make note where fresh water is available and most often this is primitive toilet building and they usually have fresh water available here with an outside spigot...

This is where I will dump my gray water if not allowed to dump on tree roots. I bring my cassette potty 6-gallon tank here as well and dump it down the primitive toilet...

I used a regular water jug, the round ones for the coolers, and added a pump to it. The great park was that you could put it on a picnic table, it was sealed and after a trip you took it back and got a filled jug.

I carry two additional 42 gallon RV tanks in my enclosed trailer. If you don't trailer anything behind you, you could but an additional water tank in an extended or crew cab. I use a transfer pump to refill my TC tank, directly use a hose with gravity feed or use the transfer pump to a hose to wash off my off-road toys.

I have used the Reliance Aqua-Tainer for two years and they work great for me. I remove the 3/4" spigot and use a garden hose adapter (Home Depot) to transfer the water to my RV water tank.

If you have a space, buy one of those bladder tanks at marine supply.
I add 60gal one to my conversion, add garden hose manifold and can switch the pump between tanks.
Than for my camper I bought jug for $7 at Walmart and it holds fine for 3 years.
Don't think I will worry about it lasting 20 years. Not for $7.
