Eycom has passed away

He's about to retire and thinking to switch to fiver from TC. RIP Eycom!

This is terrible news, I always enjoyed reading his posts. My condolences to his family.

Yes, very sad news indeed.

I felt a particular kinship with Eycom because we have the same model Lance. May have even been the same year of mfgr. I can't remember what year his was, and he changed his sig shortly before he passed away.

We also shared an interest in getting a good nights sleep in a pre-warmed bed during the cold season. I believe he was the one that brought Electrowarmth 12v mattress pads to my attention, and we both had the queen-sized 12v model. He actually wore his out he used it so much. When they stopped making the queen 12v model we PM'd ideas back and forth about what to replace his with. He eventually went with a 120v pad powered through a PSW inverter.

His contributions to the forum will be missed. His knowledge and experience with TC'ing full time was unparalleled. I'm truly sorry we never had the opportunity to meet in person.

Say it isn't so. Eycom had a singular style having 'lived' in his TC for many years. He was a great window on what to expect full-timing, or close to it, and had savvy advice for those who wanted to try. He was so close to retirement. What a shame. We were kind of his family on-the-road.

I get rather nostalgic when we loose someone on here because it points up the fact that
time marches on, whether we're there or not.
(i tried to post here the minute Eycom's notice arrived but my satellite internet (Hughesnet) had other ideas.)

Sorry to here about his. This guy was a class act. He really new his stuff as far as I could tell. I always kind of envied him working on the road at his own pace. Never recall him ever posting anything negative always helpfull stuff. We all lost a little with his passing. To bad he never made it to the big rig. I think he enjoyed what he had while he was with us. We could all learn a thing or 2 from this guy.

I was just thinking yesterday. I hadn't seen any posts with recently from Eycom, either helping out someone with a problem, or one of his stories. He will be missed. RIP Eycom and God bless your family.
