The TSB went to 2013.
Here is the TSB and the wording to the TSB. (look at Ford's TSB dates)
Troy they changed the turbo design in 15. They went with a single compressor wheel in 15 and I haven't heard anything bad from then since. (IMHO they fixed the problem in 15)
Ford tried and tried to stick with the twin compressor design and even had a rebalanced design. It just never did work out for them; it was just too difficult to get a correct balance on them. It's too bad, because it was a cool idea.
Take my word for it; they had a LOT of turbo problems on these engines.
The valve problem is scary. They had more problems with CC and less with pickups and they had less problems with valves than with turbo's.
Not what you want to hear, but if I have a huge trailer I would get a class 8 Volvo and not look back. Dirt cheap and very easy to drive with their auto shifts. Great ride with air ride seats. A friend of mine has one and I love it.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help with a recommendation for a medium duty truck.
