For the price you quoted, you could get a very nicely loaded brand new 3500.
You liked the Ram, for $60,000 (probably less) you can get a very nice Ram megacab 3500. I looked into a 450 and the insurance issue is real. I would need to go to Progressive and they added restrictions. If you have AAA towing, I also found that they would not tow anything in Nevada bigger than a 3500/350. The Ram/Cummins can tow up to 30,000 pounds with the right axle ratio and Aisin transmission so do you really need a 450?
