You won't pay any additional fees or taxes for buying out of Calif.
You can pay the taxes and reg yourself or have the dealer do it.

It at least gives you a good bargaining chip with your local dealer. I could have saved about $1000 more on my truck by getting it in Idaho, but would have had to fly there and drive home. With flight, fuel and time I thought $1k was fair.
