Eyeing a F-450
Hi all, I have a '06 Ram 2500 5.9 6 speed that I love, but I've outgrown it. My wife and kids were complaining every time we went somewhere about the small quad cab. So it's time to upgrade. ...

Anyways, it'll be a very nice truck and know you'll enjoy it. Ford had better step it up, can't have RAM taking over.
Are you saying Ford should come up with yet another Powerstroke?
Chris
No, but I am saying Ford needs to update the interior and some exterior items on their Super Duty trucks as RAM and GMC has done. I think Ford has done an excellent job updating other items but it's time to do some cosmetic items now. I want LED headlights, that's the biggest thing I want personally and lots of others complain about the interior. I love my King Ranch interior but can see that the dash and inside door panels could use an update to match RAM and GMC. Personally, it doesn't bother me, but most of the reviews points these items out on the Ford.
I will say I don't think anyone beats Ford on quietness, my 2015 is even quieter than the 2011 I had and it was great. As far as torque and horsepower, Ford has done an incredible job, that's where GMC needs to improve a lot. Ford has done an excellent job with this while also maintaining or improving the gas mileage. Around here in the SRW trucks, Ford dominates. In the DRW, it's much closer between Ford and RAM with lots of both. GMC is not even in the game here.
As far as the rear fenders, I'm not sure what I like. The RAM's look awesome but I see a few fenders that the owners have hit with their duallys. With the Fords, it's an easy quick fix, pop a new fender on. But, with the RAM's it could be a lot of body work and bondo. Hopefully I avoid this accident but could easily happen.
