Not sure whu some think these smaller diesel can't tow, but that is pure BS!I tow a 6600# =/- around 200# all the time and it does it with out braking a sweat. I moved a 5800# 25' TT for my BL in Knoxville and again the truck did it without any problems what so ever.
Within their limits these trucks are IMO far better at towing than a gas truck. I don't need to be the first to the top of a mountain nor do I need to be the first to the next stop light just to feed my ego. My EcoD does beat the EcoB off the line....well it did until Ford/GM got their 10 speed on line lol.
Like was said earlier "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Ford and GM started their transmission partnership after FCA started putting the 8 speed and a year later a 9 speed in our vehicles. Now Ford is following us with a 3.0 liter diesel and GM is going to be right behind them!
But FCA is following Ford and bring out our own twin turbo DI gas engines. So you guys can talk about that. Fiat even builds their Ka cars for them.
