Fear not. That day is coming. First things first. I give them a chance to actually fix it, and I'm willing to bet they eventually will. Then, I drop the bomb. I'm not one to lawer up at the drop of a hat, but this is a hill I'm willing to die on. I specifically asked them if they were confident this would resolve my issue and they said they believed it would. They looked like scared bunnies when I asked the question, because then they needed to make a case for me spending that kind of loot. Now they know why I asked. I understand the sometimes diagnosing a problem leads one in the wrong direction, but replacing parts on an unproven hunch is NOT troubleshooting. Not at $20, $200, and certainly not at $2700. They should not have been as cavalier in their diagnosis as they were. Now they're going to pay.
