The 5ths I looked at were Open Range Light - that were supposedly designed to be pulled by an f150 - or at least marketed that way. The one that looks decent has a dry pin of 1055lb and total weight of 8025lb - so that should work even on a non HD - or so it seems. The sales guy was trying to tell me that a loaded one wouldn't have any more pin weight if it was loaded "right" - smells like BS to me - to you?

I saw OpenRange Light trailers recently, and they seem very nice. But I would definitely want at least an F150 with HD Payload. Even if you stay under the payload of a MaxTow truck, you will be over the rear GAWR. And with a non-HD payload truck you will end up having to upgrade the tires and suspension anyway just so it does'nt wallow all over when towing. They really are set up just for "grocery-getting".
And yes, ignore the salesman.
