F-150 to tow a light 5th - do I need HD cargo option?

Thanks. Good to know. I didn't realize that only the long box crew cabs had the thicker frames. Have to wonder though if a short box with a thinner frame wouldn't hold up as well due to less potential stress of the shorter wheel base.
