Well folks here is what I did with my F250.
Took it to the stealer I bought it from and had a friendly chat with the service manager. He greed to set the TPMS lower to my spec, but i had to come back when his "computer whiz" stopped by. My dealing with that light is over, that is unless the pressure gets lower than what it is set at.
It can be done, ya just have to find the right folk to do it.
Exactly right Dave. Your Ford dealer can change the TPMS alarm threshold through IDS in about 45 seconds. I had it done to mine when my truck was new so I could run lower pressure in the off towing season. Some dealers refuse to do it fearing liability. However, you no longer need a dealer to make this change as well as others. There is a free Windows based program called Forscan which along with a BT OBD2 adapter, allows you to make these changes yourself. You can also change between factory tire sizes, gearset ratios, and so on. You're also allowed to enable the "ghost screen" DPF percentage until full screen on 6.7's. It's a great free program. Your only expense is the $80 BT adapter. Cheaper USB and WiFi adapters are problematic and most guys that try them can't make the changes they want.
