F-250 tire pressures

2016 F-250 gas crew cab. GVW is 10,000lb. Weighed it on the way home and it scaled a little over 6900lb. Door jam says tp should be 75 in front and 80 in rear. Did fine until it got cold and then the TPMS icon lit up. Dealer says 75 and 80 necessary to make the light go out. Did well all summer at lower pressure (68psi all around) and no light. Even loaded with a 30 ft tt Iknow I won't be over 8500lb. Anyone know where I can find a load/inflation chart for LT245/75R17 tires? Thanks.

  • We run 45 PSI in the rear tires of our 1-ton SRW when it's empty. There's only 3,100 lbs. on the rear axles when it's empty. Even with only 45 PSI in the rear tires there's still about 1/2" of tread on each side of the tire that doesn't even contact the pavement. Of course, when loaded (towing our 5th) we always use 80 PSI.
  • I switched to Toyo 35" AT II tires. Max 80 but I run at 65 all-around. No problems.
  • I have a 2015 F250 diesel and my door is 65 front and rear but I run 70 front and 80 rear all the time
