Because of the internet it would appear Ford is denying warranty all the time. Since Ford is still the #1 BRAND, it's apparent that truck buyers aren't concerned.

Google Ram and GM and see how many internet stories there are for them as well. They all do it.

Update: Just pulled the trigger after a couple day negotiation process with an area Ford dealer. Will complete deal on Friday for a 2016 F-350 SRW Crew Cab Lariat, Diesel, 3.55 axle ratio, 172 WB and lots of bells and whistles (woohoo). Have loved my E-350, but it will be 16 Years old, and time for something that will pull with ease.

One thing I found out in driving a few was the longer wheelbase was a much smoother ride than the shorter WB. Got the long bed, which I wanted, but the drive confirmed.

Thanks for info and all the great learning on this site. I've been researching a long time and this is probably the perfect truck for us for the next 10 years at least. Now....Saturday I'm going to the Leer Factory Direct Store nearby to pick out a shell/cap.

One other issue in the Northeast, just returned from a week in Jersey. Under 5 tons, you get to use the hammer lanes and some parkways without the trailer. I just love catching sports cars on the ramps, between 30 and 80 mph no car can get away. Nothing like a new diesel truck for straight line acceleration. Gotta find one of those four pipe vets.

The commuter lot I use to get to work also restricts vehicles over 5 tons. I'm glad my truck is 100% pleasure/personal use and not used for the daily grind. I still managed to get 11k miles on it last year.
