Well I think any company games the system to some degree as long as they are allowed to self certify. Remember the Hyundai debacle? Now they owe many customers gas cards every year because of over extended claims. Similar had happened in regards to the Ford c-max and hybrid fusion and other energi cars. But that issue has already been sorted. This is why I prefer Motortrend's real mpg test as it is in real conditions using the same sophisticated equipment to track fuel consumption.
