So now instead of all half tons getting 14 mpg, we have not one but TWO half ton trucks that can get close to TWICE as good mileage and people are still complaining?
Sounds like either truck would be great for people that need to tow occasionally and use the truck as a daily driver. I wish the Ram had higher payload numbers and I wish the Ford could get as good mileage as they claim... but either truck seems like a great option for those that need it.
Lets remember that CAFE standards are quickly rising. The days of a fuel hog powerful truck engine in a half ton series are dwindling. There was a lot of speculation here that the new trucks wouldn't be able to tow because they would have puny fuel sipping engines. Neither of these trucks will tow huge weights... but a family can still strap up a small travel trailer and go out for a weekend with either truck.
Lets put the brand bashing and personal attacks aside for just a minute and be happy that we have options...
