Thanks for the link Fish, very surprising not seeing a CC filter on a modern diesel engine. Hopefully it is just 1 engine though, but that certainly is scary. We'll see as more photos and pictures post over time.
I also wonder if they fixed the issue of coking up in the intake manifolds on the Ecoboosts. Seems to be tied with oil from the PCV
Yep that is pretty scary and I'm surprised Fiat Chrysler Corporation didn't copy Ford's design on the 6.7 PSD that spins the oil from the vapors so this mess doesn't get regurgitated back into the engine. The guy in this video is spot on that these engine vapor's/oil is not healthy for the engine or the DPF.
My wife was recently shopping for a new vehicle and the Grand Cherokee was on the short list, and I was very interested in the 3.0 VM powered version, but when I found this video and some other issues I quickly backed off.
